Abstract

Eminente médico-legista y profesor universitario cubano. Nació en La Habana el 13 de Marzo de 1906, hijo de Antonio Lances y Paula Magdalena Sánchez. Recibió la enseñanza primaria en los colegios “Alemán”, ”La Gran Antilla” y “El Infantil” de su ciudad natal. Se graduó de Bachiller en Letras y Ciencias (1923) en el Instituto de Segunda Enseñanza de La Habana y de Doctor en Medicina (1929) en la Universidad de la propia ciudad. Recibió toda su formación como médico legista en la Universidad habanera con muy numerosos cursos de diferentes materias de la especialidad en las cátedras de Antropología General, Medicina Legal y Toxicología y la Escuela de Verano.
