Resultados del tratamiento quirúrgico del Varicocele causando infertilidad masculina

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo y descriptivo de las pacientes que acudieron a consulta externa de Urología del Hospital General Docente "Aleida Fernández Chardiet" de Güines en el período comprendido desde enero de 1989 hasta diciembre de 1993 por infertilidad masculina de más de 18 meses de relaciones sexuales estables y no protegidas, que se le constataron alteraciones en el espermograma y que por el examen físico y por ultrasonido Doppler se demostró Varicocele. Todos los pacientes fueron tratados quirúrgicamente y en el postoperatorio se dividieron en dos grupos con diferentes conductas, analizándose la mejoría de la enfermedad, cuantificando la cantidad de embarazo en cada grupo. Ratificando la relación entre infertilidad y varicocele y
sugiriendo la importancia de un seguimiento estricto postquirúrgico de estos pacientes.
