Comportamiento de la mortalidad por enfermedad cerebro vascular en el municipio Madruga

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo y de corte longitudinal para describir el comportamiento de la mortalidad por accidentes vasculares encefálicos en el municipio Madruga, en el período comprendido desde el 1ero enero del 2003 hasta el 31 de diciembre del 2007; utilizándose para la recolección de la información una planilla recopiladora de datos y se analizó a través del método estadístico de Duncan .Se estudiaron 50 pacientes. Se encontró que la edad de mayor aparición de las enfermedades cerebro vasculares fue de 75 ó más años; predominando el sexo femenino y la raza negra. Los accidentes vasculares encefálicos más frecuentes fueron los isquémicos. También se encontró que la mayor cantidad de fallecidos fue en el 2007.
