Labor del personal de enfermería en la Profilaxis de las complicaciones sépticas del paciente crítico

Se estudiaron 51 pacientes del total de ingresados en la Unidad de Vigilancia Intensiva en el transcurso de un año. La muestra fue seleccionada por método aleatorio simple y se conformarongrupos etáreos de sexo y raza. Se analizó el total de procederes realizados a los pacientes correlacionándose con las complicaciones propias de los mismos. El índice de sepsis
directamente relacionado con la labor de enfermería fue nulo pues sólo dos incidencias se presentaron y ambas por flebitis química.
