Abstract

The beginning of sexual activity exposes adolescents to a series of risks that compromise their sexual and reproductive health, in addition to their psychological and social development, if it begins without adequate guidance and without full knowledge of the complications that sexual activity entails. early, without proper protection. Pregnancy in adolescence is a global health problem, from a medical and social point of view, it is considered a risk situation for the health and personal development of the mother and her child. At this stage of life, most pregnancies are unplanned, the tendency to terminate them is greater. Adequate sexual education is necessary, from within the family, through open, frank and unprejudiced dialogue and from educational centers, where they are informed about the risks and complications of pregnancy at this stage and how to avoid it.
