MASKNE un reto en tiempos de COVID-19

Ante la emergencia sanitaria que se vive en el mundo por la expansión de la COVID-19, uno de los aspectos que cobra una importancia relevante en el campo de la Dermatología debido al tipo de lesiones y su localización que desde el punto de vista estético compromete a los pacientes, es el MASKNE. Fenómeno nuevo, polémico y denominado así por la Organización Mundial de la Salud para definir un tipo de acné específico cuya causa más probable es el uso de la mascarilla o cubreboca de forma diaria y prolongada, ya sean de tipo quirúrgica, filtrante, higiénica o casera. Este fenómeno, lo sufren actualmente tanto mujeres como hombres, de cualquier raza, edad y país.
